Marietta Counseling offers a variety of options for assisting individuals with learning stress management techniques including education around how to relax the body and how to increase awareness of thoughts and beliefs, creating conscious shifts in perspective and active decisions as to how stressors will be more consciously addressed.It has been said that it is physically impossible to be both anxious and relaxed at the same time.  Given this understanding, relaxation training is a large component of helping individuals with learning how to manage the effects of stress in their lives.  During individual counseling sessions, children and adults may receive guidance on specific ways to practice increasing more relaxed states of mind and body.

In addition to guidance received in private counseling sessions, classes are offered on somatic awareness (body awareness and breath awareness), meditation and basic yoga for resotration and relaxation.

Anger Management classes are periodically offered by Ruth Manns, Certified Anger Mangement Instructor. Ruth has experience providing courses to individuals mandated by the court system to learn how to work with their anger in responsible and adaptive ways.  She also helps individuals who voluntarily seek assistance in learning better ways to cope with anger in every-day life.  Call us for more information on upcoming classes 770-971-9311.
