Rita has a holistic approach to psychotherapy, healing and wellness. She integrates various treatment methods in her work with children and adults – play therapy, art therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and somatic/body-centered psychotherapy. Rita’s approach is experiential, depth-oriented, and person-centered.
Rita’s therapy sessions are tailored to meet the unique needs of each individual client. She creates a safe, open, and affirming space for all clients. The use of compassion and awareness are blended into her therapy work.

Rita is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Georgia. In addition, she has completed training in the Hakomi Method, which integrates principles of Mindfulness, Nonviolence, Unity, Organicity and Body-Mind-Spirit holism. She has fifteen years of experience in various social service and mental health settings. Rita is also a certified laughter yoga leader.
